The Steel City Yellow Jackets had little time to think about Saturday's loss to the Ohio Bruins. Sunday night, the club traveled north to Beaver County and cruised to victory, 156-112.

Ace Pippen's club came out strong in the first quarter, with Co-Captain Gilmore Cummings starting off the scoring. Etholion Vennie had a three-pointer and Kenneth Holmes added a series of three-pointers in the opening quarter, but to be topped by Tim Johnson's four 3-pointers. The visitors lead at the end of first twelve minutes, 40-26.

Beaver County's Indians came alive in the second-quarter, and out-scored the Yellow Jackets 28-25. Claude Scott, Jr. lead the scoring for the Yellow Jackets in that quarter.

The Steel City squad exploded in the second-half and extended the lead by scoring 47 points to Beaver County's 32. Brandon Franklin hit an incredible 6 buckets from beyond the arc. Co-Captain Tone Reddic, Sr. also pumped in several three-pointers.

Reddic had four three-pointers in the final 12 minutes, and Jason Arrington, Sr. added six points. Steven Vorum came off the bench and punched in three points. The Yellow Jackets continued their hot streak by adding 40 points, while the Indians had 26 in the final period.

Kenneth Holmes lead the Yellow Jackets for the second straight night with 34 points. Reddic, Sr. had 31 points, Claude Scott added 25 and Brandon Franklin, 24. Tim Jackson, on the strength of those treys, had 20 points, Gilmore Cummings 8, Jason Arrington 6, Vennie and Vorum each had 3.

The Yellow Jackets improve to 15-2 after the weekend split and are now the #5 team in the ABA. The #1 ranked Chula Vista Suns, who won both of their games this past weekend, are 17-0. The Suns are the only undefeated team in the league. The Chicago Fury are 17-1, Team Trouble is 17-2 and Baldwin County Hoopers are 16-2.

The Steel City crew was scheduled to finish the regular season this upcoming season, but those games have been cancelled.
